TERMINALS AND
TABS
They are universally used
and give numberless advantages on the sectors
regarding the harness and electrical, electromechanical
and electronic equipments.
Their greatly appreciated features are: contacts
reliability, serviceable assemblies and economical
costs.
MATERIALS AND SURFACE TREATMENTS
As for the several employments of our products,
we have to use different types of materials,
each fit for every particular utilization,
while the applied surface treatments allow
to improve the electric performances and the
resistance of our products against the atmospheric
agents and the high temperatures
MATERIALS
- Brass (Cu Zn)
This is the most used raw material on the
connections field, with or without a coating,
protecting its surface.
- Stainless steel (AISI 304)
It is preferred to brass in presence of high
degrees of moisture or temperature.
- Nickel-plated steel (Steel gal Ni)
- The connections made in nickel-plated steel
can withstand well temperatures up to 300°
C, always maintaining the best reliability.
SURFACE TREATMENTS
- Tinning (gal Sn)
- This type of coating allows an excellent
protection of the terminal, assuring a resistance
to high temperatures up to 150°C and a
very good electric conductivity.
- Silver plating (gal Ag)
This treatment improves the thermic performances
up to 160°C and allows to use the terminal
even with high current flows.
- Nickel-plating (gal Ni)
This is the type of coating that offers the
best reliability with high temperatures.
TERMINAL COVERS
and PLASTIC CONNECTORS
Designed with the aim to insulate
single or multiply terminals, with or without
locking notch. They withstand the rapid changes
of temperature, the oils, petrols, etc. They
can be supplied both in natural colour and
in different colours, on request.
CAR FUSES
I.M.P car fuses are made by a thermoplastic
holder and an alloy zinc sheet. For the blade
fuses in the mini, midi, and maxi series,
the plastic part is made in transparent polycarbonate,
in different colours according to the amperage
while for the continental fuses is made in
glass covered Nylon, in different colours
according to the required amperage and to
the cars nationality.
The conductor part is made by an alloy zinc
sheet, obtained in a single piece by shearing.
